Co-founded by spirits expert Allen Katz and Brooklyn Brewery co-founder Tom Potter, New York Distilling Company began with a simple ambition: to bring great gin and rye whiskey back to New York.
From our home in Bushwick, Brooklyn, we make flavorful spirits designed to be showcased in cocktails.
We founded New York Distilling Company to make purposefully different spirits with a distinctly New York point of view.

Our rye story reaches beyond the distillery walls to New York soil, a nearly forgotten heirloom grain, and the people committed to bringing it back. That history gives Jaywalk its character before the whiskey ever reaches the still.
